Dr Steve Milner is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Biologystics Pty Ltd.
He is a Registered Project Manager and scientist with a reputation for excellence in the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries.
His career highlights, to date, include work as:
- Project Management Consultant, providing project management services to help organisations in the highly regulated, healthcare, biotechnology and ICT sectors improve performance and deliver strategic projects successfully.
- Project Manager, GroPep Limited, managing the company’s Infertility Drug Development Programme, including scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk and procurement.
- Project Manager, GroPep Limited, overseeing the company’s scientific liaison and new product search team to find new targets for its pharmaceutical drug development pipeline.
- Managing Director, Functional Food Solutions Pty Ltd, securing seed-funding and a provisional patent for proof of concept research offering new opportunities for the South Australian Wine Industry.
- Biotechnology Business Analyst, GroPep Limited, identifying new biotechnology opportunities for the company’s product pipeline, positioning the company in the global biotech market, developing IP protection strategies and securing patents.
Dr Milner is a Registered Project Manager (RPM) with the Australian Institute for Project Management. He has an MBA and a PhD from the University of Adelaide. His PhD thesis was in the field of protein chemistry: “The Oxidative Folding of Insulin-like Growth Factor-I Analogues”.
Dr Milner volunteers his services to the Australian Institute of Project Management, he is Chair of the National Conference Technical Review Committee, and is President of the South Australian branch of the AIPM.
Dr Milner spent his early career working in the UK pharmaceutical and agricultural industries, and in Australia managing early-stage drug discovery and development projects in the fields of diabetic neuropathy and osteoporosis. He has an impressive publication record in a number of international journals.
